Description
“Guardian Ray 305” It is our economical Geiger counter that has the most advanced measurement functions. Therefore it can detect even low levels of Beta and Gamma radioactivity in the environment, in the ground, in building materials and in general on any material.
We designed it mainly for enthusiasts and teaching, but it could also be useful to professionals dealing with radiation protection, and to companies that import and process raw materials from countries affected by serious nuclear accidents.
In general we recommend “Guardian Ray 305” to anyone who needs to have a semi-professional Geiger Counter for the measurement of Beta nuclear radiation, Gamma and X-rays.
Guardian Ray 305 is produced in Italy by our company: ElettronicaNetwork which has equipped it with a powerful microcontroller with native USB interface and various advanced features to simplify and optimize the measurement of radioactivity. Therefore it is equipped with the named measurement mode: “SCALER” which serves to considerably increase the sensitivity and precision of the acquired values. Then it can discriminate even small levels of radioactive contamination both in the surrounding environment, than on specific objects with a maximum resolution of approximately 0.001 uSV/h.
E’ also rechargeable as it has an internal lithium ion battery, rechargeable through the USB port using a computer, or with a power supply with 5V USB output.
Our Geiger Counter has a large internal capacity “Data logger” from one Megabit of capacity. This is a very large memory which we believe has no equal in similar competitive instruments. Therefore it can save even for long periods of time, the radioactivity values that will be stored in memory as actual records accompanied by the date and time of execution of the measurement.
Then through his USB port and the same data can be easily downloaded, processed and displayed graphically on any personal computer equipped with the Windows XP / Vista / Win 7/8/10 operating system, using our dedicated software: “Easy Ray”, which also allows data to be exported in other formats compatible with third-party applications, come Microsoft Excel, for the purpose of carrying out further processing.
“Guardian Ray 305”, it also works in the so-called mode “ONLINE”, that is, via the USB port available and the accompanying Easy Ray software, it can transmit the radioactivity values measured moment by moment to an interconnected computer in real time.
Upon your specific request, all our Geiger counters can be supplied accompanied by a “accredia calibration center calibration certificate” valid for legal purposes as it is issued by a legally recognized calibration center of our trust.
The G.RAY305 Geiger counter also functions as an effective digital radioactivity dosimeter, therefore it can be used in nuclear medicine laboratories in hospitals, research centers, in technical high schools, university faculties. Furthermore, it is a necessary tool in companies that import and process raw materials at risk of radioactive contamination.

Measurement mode:
– standard with automatic sampling time autorange of 5/10/20/30 seconds
based on the intensity of the radiation detected
– Single and average of the values acquired in subsequent measurements of the same session.
– Scaler, high precision measurement mode, with a fixed sampling time of 600 seconds, to be used to discriminate very low levels of radioactivity with high precision
– Maximums and minimums, this function, if selected, allows the storage and cyclic display of the highest and lowest values detected in the context of the same measurement session
Calibration:
– Guardian Ray 305-FO is subjected to various measurement tests under our supervision with calibrated radionuclides of the type CO60 – CS137 – SR90. Furthermore, on request it can be supplied with a calibration certificate issued by an authorized SIT center such as Enea of Frascati or the Polytechnic of Milan.
Internal memory:
– Integrated datalogger with 1 Megabit memory (over 120.000 record), allows you to internally store several weeks of measurement, the data is saved in the internal memory in real records, complete with date and time of acquisition, furthermore, the data storage interval can be preset from 1 to 242 minutes
ONLINE real-time and deferred data download
– via the USB interface, using the x Windows software(c) Easy Ray supplied with the instrument.
